The cross-beam modified by Palamara
Basically, the cross-beams stabilize the tower leg from transverse buckling and thus the overall instability of the tower. COWI calculations tell us that the cross-beams, while not subject to winds like the Bridge, are designed to withstand winds of up to 270 km/h and earthquakes of up to 7.2 on the Richter scale.
Well, our design, in a word the elimination of the transverse stiffeners and their replacement with a specific Vierendeel beam + the insertion of a curtain wall to contain it, provides for the confirmation of these characteristics.
The cross-beams will most likely be built at the Cimolai factory in San Giorgio di Nogaro, Friuli, and transported to the bridge construction site piers on open-deck barges. The modified cross-member will also be dry-finished and assembled in one piece into the towers, as was the case with the first of the six cross-members of the Çanakkale Bridge, assembled at midnight on June 6, 2020.

Vierendeel Truss
Vierendeel TrussVierendeel trusssteel to cover the opening having dimensions of approximately 40 m m the curved upper part, 38.5 m the lower side, 7.68 m the inclined lateral sides. We crossed nine uprights (HEB 600) with a pitch of 4.923 m and therefore of different heights (the four above the one placed in the middle are obviously symmetrical), with a total of 12 beams HEB 900 (Below, since it's a max. 12 m HEB, four are needed, that is, three 12 m long ones + one cut one), above obviously eight cut to just under 5 m each. We positioned the external uprights from the lower end because otherwise they would be tilted, but this doesn't cause any structural problems for the Vierendeel's operation.

Curtain Wall
La curtain wall (facciata continuaIt will essentially replace the steel box walls above the centerline, while the two walls below will remain in steel. It will have the following features: double glazing of the SentryGlas (SGP) 22 mm thick and with an internal air chamber of 90 cm with argon or krypton gas, glass plates measuring 164 × 265 mm regularly continuous with special spiders, as in the double skin facade of skyscrapers.

Elevators
The bridge has eight elevators, four for each leg, and in the 2011 Plan, they were all service elevators; access to the transoms for maintenance was already planned. Well, two of them, one for each tower, will be used by tourists to visit the various levels of the Belvedere dello Strait.
